Lots of work still to be done before Christmas Break. I would like you all to be in a position to DO your experimentation over the break. That means that you will conduct the experiment and record data, so when we get back from break we can spend the rest of the time finishing up project notebooks, research reports and display boards.

7th science

Today we will continue to explore topics. You need to make sure that you have a topic chosen, the proposal form filled out, and begin working on your research. There is a worksheet in your packets that is there to help you organize you resources. Keep this with you and keep it up to date as you are researching your topic. Remember, you need to have at least three DIFFERENT sources of information for your topic research paper.

  • Explore resources for your topic

Today we are going to begin our exploration of your science fair topic. This process will begin by selecting a topic from your list of possibilities. Make sure that this is something that is interesting to you. Once you have your topic, get the proposal sheet and begin filling it out. Go through each section of the proposal and fill it out the best you can. You will also want to start exploring the resources for your topic. Look up information on the internet, check out books and find magazine or journal articles. Please keep copies of all research that you find and record citing information for your bibliography. If you have questions or problems please ask for help.

Today we are presenting our projects. Remember to be a good audience as groups are presenting. Take quality notes of important information and any questions that you may have. At the end of each presentation, there will be time to ask questions of the group. When finished giving the presentation, please take a moment to fill out the group evaluations. Be honest, but not brutal.
